Dr. Alexandra Runnels is a Board Certified. OB/GYN in San Antonio, TX. She is a Cajun at heart, growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but has called Texas home since beginning her medical training in 1995.
Her areas of expertise include Regenerative Therapies, Aesthetic Treatments and Bio-Identical Hormones for Sexual Health, Beauty and Wellness for men and women.
She is skilled at many Aesthetic and Regenerative Procedures for the Face, Body and Genitalia including Botox, HA Dermal Fillers, Microneedling, Plasma Pen, O-Shot®, P-Shot®, Vampire Facelift®, Vampire Facial®, Vampire Breast-lift®, Restorative Vaginal Procedures, Treatment of Menopause/Andropause/Male & Female Testosterone Deficiency, Urinary Incontinence and Erectile Dysfunction
She received her medical degree at UTHSC in Houston and did her specialty training at UTHSC in San Antonio, where she received multiple awards and honors including Outstanding Ob/Gyn Medical Student, Outstanding Chief Resident, Outstanding Surgical Laparoscopist and the Berlex Foundation Award for Outstanding Research. Dr. Runnels spent time as an Associate Professor at UTHSCSA Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology before moving on to Private Practice. While in private practice she has continued her teaching role as a Clinical Instructor of Physician Assistant Students, Nurse Practitioner Students and Medical Students.
She has completed multiple post-graduate training programs in Aesthetics, Regenerative Therapies and is a certified BioTe® Provider. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Certified Provider and Instructor of the American Cellular Medicine Association.
She is a proud mother of three beautiful children, Jude, Scarlett and Phoenix.
In her spare time she is an avid runner and enjoys multiple forms of exercise, nutrition, reading, traveling, art, music, nature, cooking, and spending time with her family and loved ones.
Her true passion lies in helping alleviate her patientʼs suffering and assisting them in living their best, most fulfilling lives.
